What Does The Following MRI Report Suggest?

My father had a major accident during the age 41 and suffered from blood clot in the brain and later after prayers and medication miraculously he recovered soon. Now his age is 55,for the past three years he acted strange like memory loss, unwanted insecurity, fear and anxiety and now he is in his worst,he turned out to be a psycho who wants his own family to perish.Took MRI SCAN they say he has small area of gliosis in left temporal lobe region, lacunar old ischemic changes in bilateral fronto-parietal lobes, changes of cerebral atrophy.Need your guidance.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
the gliosis has occurred as a healing process after the brain injury. since it is seated in the left temporal region the memory could be impaired due to this.
some cerebral atrophy could be age related. but we also need to rule out Alzeihmer s or other possible reasons like severe vitamin B 12 deficiency or alcohol excess.
depending on the exact underlying pathology we would be able to decide on the treatment.
you can reassure and council him gently and also give vitamin B 12 supplements.
Go for detailed tests in the meantime.
