Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 46 year old female, 5 5, medium build and am suffering from migraines and left side weakness following a car crash. An MRI showed a small area of lost signal on the frontal lobe consistent with Ischaemia and a moderate central disc protrusion at C5/6 with NO cervical stenosis or nerve root compression. Potential Abnormal . A nerve conduction test then revealed No evidence of right carpal tunnel syndrome. Chronic neurogenic changes in the right C7 root distribution . Is this an answer to my problems or have they found further issues?
The ischemic foci in your frontal lobe suggests an ishemic stroke that you have gone through and haven't realized but this type of stroke in frontal region causes personality changes. While the disc prolapse is responsible for your body weakness for which you need to undergo surgery.
Consult a neurosurgeon for the disc prolapse and a neurologist for ischemic stroke.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
