What Does The Following X-ray Report Suggest?

My prostate measures 46X42x40 mm Volume 42 CC Enlarged in Size No Focal Lesion scan and the impression is Grade III Prostatomegaly with Diffusely Thickened Bladder Wall. Urinary Bladder: Well Distended with clear contents. Diffusely thickened wall measuring 4mm No e/o calculus/mass seen Postvoid Volume 12 cc Kidney : Right Kidney measures 102x44x16mm Left tKidney neasures 109x50x18mm Both kidneys are normal in size and echo texture. No focal lesion seen. No e/o calculus/hydronephrosis seen Both ureters are normal in caliber Should I have to undergo surgery for the prostate. Or should you suggest some medicines

Hello,

Normal Prostate vol is 25 cubic mm and post void residue less than 50 ml is normal.

Since you don't have any obstructive uropathy, 5-α-reductase inhibitors (5ARIs) like Finasteride or Dutasteride can be used.

5ARIs is thought to treat the static aspect of BPH by reducing prostate volume.
