What Does The Following X-ray Report Suggest?

I recently had several x rays of my spine and one of the observations is that there is a irregularly marginated calcific density over the left kidney measuring in the 15 mm range. So I went to the doctor and they are saying that most likely I have a kidney stone. I would have to get an MRI to further investigate or ultra sound. How would a kidney stone of this size be removed and could it be dissolved?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
I have gone through the x ray report you have mentioned.
Yes, possibility of kidney stone is more likely.
So better to get done ultrasound or MRI of kidneys to confirm the stone.
If Stone is confirmed then surgical removal is the only treatment. This stone won't dissolve.
Preferred mode of surgery is PCNL (percutaneous nephrolithotomy).
So consult urologist and discuss all these.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
