What Does The Following X-ray Report Suggest?
got an xray result which states fluffy infiltrates are seen in the right upper lobe. the left upper lobe is clear. the impression is: suggestive of ptb, minimal disease pls enlighten me.. is this contagious? is this curable? how long? so worried coz im a working mom.. thanks a lot.

welcome to hcm ...please see the ptb pulmonary tuberculosis has to be confirmed by sputum examination
and yes it is contagiuos only if sputum test is positive as AFB positive
now a days there are many potent tb drugs which cure tb in 6 months .
visit your doctor and get yourself checked for sputum ..tlc ..dlc...esr ...blood sugar level
if sputum is positive for AFB then the contagiousness dimininshes in just 2 weeks of therapy
donot worry
with proper drugs and diet ..tb is not a big issue these days
