What Does The Following Abdominal CT Report Suggest?

Im a 46 year old woman. I am having problems with my blood pressure. I had a CT A Abdomen-Pelvis with contrast and the report concerns me. PELVIS: there is a subcentimeter likely myometrial fibroid noted in the UTERUS! There are no adnenal masses. The urinary bladder is within normal limits. Im upset because I had a Hysterectomy in 2006 (but I still have a cervix). How can I have fibroids when I don t have a uterus?

Hello,

I'm astonished to know that they gave report of fibroid uterus in a female with no uterus. In my opinion, there must have been mismanagement of reports like other patient's report might be exchanged with yours. Just ask the hospital concerned and check with the radiologist. Inform them that you don't have uterus. They may conduct a rescan.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
