General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The x ray notes that there is a lot of feces (stool) in the colon. The presence of the stool would cause obstruction and prevent the gas from passing, this is the reason that the gas was seen on the image. NO organomegaly means that none of the organs are enlarged which is good. No calcification means that there are no calcium deposits seen which is also good. Psoas lines obscured means that they are not clearly seen and this is not dangerous can be due to gas obstructing the view.

Osseous structures refers to bone structures and these were thought to be unremarkable or normal. In summary the main findings are a lot of stool in the bowel with resulting air seen. It is not dangerous.

I hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James
