What Does The Following Blood Test Report Indicate?
Hi, I had unprotected sex nearly 2 to 3 weeks ago. I went to my doctor to get a blood test and the results came back with a blood platelet count of 120. In addtion to this, there was a count of I think 82 for liver function. I was in America for 3 weeks and drank a lot and also had some illicit drugs. The blood test was done 2 days after I returned home to Australia. Should I be worried about my low platelet count? I am scared that this could be early signs of HIV. Also my blood pressure has been reading a bit high 152/82 (last read).. I assume this could be from all the stress i am putting myself through... Please help!!
You need not worry much. The platelet count keeps varying now and then. BP is also alright. not much to worry. keep your anxiousness low and keep going. check after 2-3 months again. Keep healthy. Don't worry much.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
