Hello.. Dear Dr. I m a 28 years old Male and Recently i had a blood test and i found my WBC 12.62 RBC 5.65 HGB 15.9 HCT 47.1 MCV 83.4 MCH 28.1 MCHC 33.8 % RDW-CV 12.7 PLT 415 MPV 10.3 %neut 65 % Lymp 24.1 % mono 7.5 %EOS 2.2 %BOSO 0.2 #neut 8.32 # Lymp 3.04 # mono 0.95 #EOS 0.28 #BOSO 0.03 I feel lazy and fever mostly time and also bad throat and cough with bronchits , and feeling abnormal breath for last 2 months And have penoridal sinuss absecss Plz guide me the reason of high wbc and high PLT Should i have to get more test to investigate the problem Thanks and waiting
The high white cell count and increase in platelets are related to the presence of infections.
Platelets can increase as a reaction to infection. The neutrophils (a type of white blood cell) are also slightly higher than normal and this means that the infection is likely bacterial.
