What Does The Following Bone Density Test Result Indicate?
My wife had a bone density test. Her doctor today told her she has hip of an 80 yr old-she s 57. When I look at the test t score and search on the web-mayo clinic, national osteoporosis foundation, etc it shows her results to be concerning but not catastrophic as Dr depicted. Can I give you the t scores and get your opinion?

The only numbers that are relevant are comparisons to matched controls. This is matched to age-matched controls and comparison to oneself a few years prior.
