General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome.
Incomplete data like age, gender, and other related symptoms due to swelling behind the right ear.

The histopathology report is suggestive of pleomorphic adenoma.

It is a benign (non-cancerous) salivary gland tumor of mixed type and seems to be arising from the right parotid gland.

Consult your doctor for further evaluation and certain tests such as CT scan, MRI or an ultrasound to find out its exact size and location. Another big consideration is if the benign tumor has become cancerous.

You may be advised to undergo its surgical resection (parotidectomy) if it is benign in nature otherwise if it is found to be cancerous then surgery is sometimes followed up by radiation treatment.

Hope these answer your query.
Best regards.
