What Does The Following Echocardiography Report Suggest?
Hi, 1. What does septum jerky Basal Posterior wall, Basal IVS and Basal mid inferior wall are Akinetic Wef_v 45%? 2. LA is dilated? 3. Mitral leaflets are thickened, PML is tethered, mild 2+ MR? 4. Trace AR? 5. Mild TR? 6. Pseudo normal MIP? Could you please explain the above . Thanks
Based on the history you have shared, findings are suggestive of ischemic heart disease as part of heart tissue as well as walls have been affected causing lower heart function and contractility as well as pressures.
All may be caused by abnormalities in blood flow caused by blocking of blood vessels. Cardiologist review, clinical correlation and angiography may be needed.
Medical therapy will also be commenced and regular follow up is mandatory.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
