What Does The Following Fecal Analysis Report Suggest?
Findings: Abundant proximal colonic stool. Bowel has pattern otherwise unremarkable. There are pelvic calcification likely at least partially secondary to phlebolith. No significant bony disease. Impression: no significant pathology Just wondering what this all means, I did have severe pain 2 weeks ago but not there is just a constant discomfort
Hi, I have gone through your lab reports. I can assure you that the above report looks almost normal and nothing to worry in it.
Let me explain the results in details. "Abundant proximal colonic stool" indicates that most of your stool bulk comes from first part of your intestine. Its quiet normal and it might be due to constipation. "phlebolith and pelvic calcification" are nothing but small calcified masses seen in veins of pelvis. They are generally harmless but sometimes cause strained bowel movements and constipation. You don't need to worry about this stool examination report because it just indicates constipation may be due to IBS(irritable bowel disease)You can have laxative and fiber rich diet for constipation. If your symptoms persist please consult your family physician. Hope this information helps. Wishing you good health. Regards.
