What Does The Following Hysterosalpingography Report Suggest?

The contrast filled the uterine cavity appears normal insize and configuration. The left Fallopian tube is patenr with free peritoneal spil and demonstrates hydrosalpinx likely due to chronic pid. The right Fallopian tube was not outlined and showed no free peritoneal spill. What do this mean? What my option? subject: Hysterosalpingogram

Hi,

In hysterosalpingogram, the dye is injected into your uterine cavity then it is imaged by fluoroscopy.

In the normal report, dye enters into the fallopian tube and spilt into the intra-abdominal cavity.

But in case of fallopian tube block, it won't enter into the intra-abdominal cavity.

Your right side fallopian tube is blocked and not functioning and your left side fallopian tube is functioning but it has the fluid collection in it.

Above report is seen in pelvic inflammatory disease caused by gonorrhea or chlamydia or tuberculosis etc.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
