HI Thanks for posting your query to Healthcaremagic.
The reports are suggestive of Typhoid infection. Some parts of the world Typhoid bacteria has become resistant to Ciprofloxacin . I personally advise my patients to go on Cefixime + Ofloxacin combination for 7 days . BUt if there is improvement in the patient you can continue Ciprofloxacin only .
