Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I got this result yesterday however I have no insurance and couldn t get anyone to explain if its good or bad. The lab told me I needed to have a doctor tell me. The right kidney measures 9.8 (m) in length with the left kidney measuring 11. 3 cm in length. NO hydronephrosis. Multiple small cysts of the right kidney with the largest measuring 2.8 cm. In the left kidney there is a 0.4 cm echogenic focus in the midpole. The cortex. is normal bilaterally. lMPRESSION: No obstructive uropathy. Multiple small cysts of the right kidney. Tiny nonobstructing stone of the left kidney. I would appreciate any and all help :-) thank you very much
The result says that you have multiple cysts on your right kidney which may be completely normal unless you have some symptoms like high blood pressure, urinary problems etc. You have a small stone in your left kidney which shouldn't cause any problem and will be flushed out on its own if you increase your fluid intake. The report has to be correlated clinically with any symptoms you are having.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nazma.amman, General & Family Physician
