What Does The Following Mammogram And Ultrasound Test Result Indicate?
I Had a mammogram and ultrasound and this is the observation with focal area of altered echo texture measuring 1.6 * 0.9 cm noted at 11 12 o clock postion zone 1 of right breast - likely represents focal fibroadenosis. I am having pain the area sometimes. I am prescribed with simrose 500 and doctor said his is nothing to worry about. What does this clearly represent. Pls explain
1.The report suggest that there is a lesion in the 11 and 12 o clock position with altered echo-texture with features of fibroadenosis. 2.Which is a benign entity - fatty acid supplement has been given. 3.The mammogram report has not been mentioned in the report - suggest no findings. 4.In this case the next step will be regular followup of the lesion initially every 6 months to monitor the size and characterisation of the lesion. 5.If symptoms persists after the medication - an FNAC - fine needle aspiration cytology will be helpful to assess the nature of the cells involved.
Good luck. Hope i have answered your query, any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask. http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-ganesh/62888
