Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
The pelvicalyceal system appears to be dilated.the renogram shows pelviureteric junctional obstruction with excellent laxis washout response.the post void image shows significant enhancement of radiotracer clearance from dilated right kidney pelvis. What does it mean?
Noted the renogram findings that show dilated pelvicalyceal system, excellent lasix washout response, post-void images showing enhancement of radiotracer clearance from dilated right kidney pelvis. All this report indicates that your right kidney is functioning well. There is partial obstruction to the outflow of urine at the junction of pelvis of kidney with ureter on right side. This indicates that there is no stone or so. Hence you will need further management as per the advise of your Urologist. This may be in form of passing stent and see the result. Or go for corrective surgery and get cured.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
