What Does The Following Semen Analysis Report Indicate?

I have done my semen analysis today and the result is as folllows: Volume 4.ml, Color : creamy White, Viscosity:Viscous, Reaction:Alkaline, Total count:5.8million per ml Motility:60percent motile, bacteria: nil, pus cells 4-5, doctor says viscosity is high and counts are low, I did this test in 4 different hospital labs and result was completely different from each other following are the highlights of result, 1. Volume 5.ml, Color : creamy White, Viscosity:normal, Total count:28million per ml Motility:35 2. Volume 4.ml, Color : creamy White, Viscosity:normal, Total count:46million per ml Motility:65 percent motile, bacteria: nil, pus cells 4-5 3. Volume 5.ml, Color : creamy White, Viscosity:viscous, Total count:12million per ml Motility:35. We are trying to conceive from 5 years but not yet succeed, as my wife results are ok that s mean something is wrong in my semen. If you notice that where sperms counts are ok there viscosity is normal. Please advise us.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
The following inferences can be drawn based on the semen analysis reports you have enclosed.
1. Physical characteristics like Volume, colour, viscosity and reaction are normal.
2. Total count is indicating to be quite less than normal.
3. Motility with 60% or above can be considered as good.
4. Microscopy is not indicating any infection.
Hence, the fertility index seems to be low by means of the above findings.
However, it could be tried for improvement by taking some of the nutrients along with like L-carnitine, Alpha lipoic acid, CoQ10, Vitamin E, Selenium, Lecithin and Zinc as supplements along with, which should help to regain sperm count, morphology features and its functioning capacity.
After a period of one month, semen analysis can be repeated to look for the response to the treatment as well as improvement.
Kindly consult Infertility specialist to review the report and administer the treatment accordingly.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
