What Does The Following Semen Analysis Report Suggest?
Hi... Fructose : absent Sperm count: 162 ml Rapid linear progressive: 30% Sluggish linear progressive: 10% Total forward progressive:40% Non progressive I: 10 Non motile: 50 Sample was processed after 5 hours . What does this result indicate? Kindly advice.
Any semen analysis sample must not be processed after such a long time as 5 hours. Fructose is negative, might suggest a blockage but if sample is processed after 5 hours then the fructose present in it might have been used up by the sperms for energy. Kindly go in for a re test, give sample in the lab where it is to be tested. Semen analysis samples should not be given at collection centres as there is no protocol to transport it. A re test is advised.
