What Does The Following Semen Analysis Report Suggest?

Hello sir, I have done Semen analysis test & result is as below 1) Total sperm count-59million/ml 2) motility-58% 3)TIME OF LIQUIFUCATIN-26MIN 4) Motility Grade IV(RAPID PROGRESSIVE)-28% GRADE III (SLOW PROGRESSIVE)-32% GRADE II (NON-PROGRESSIVE)-22% GRADE I (IMMOTILE)-18% SPERMATIDS-5% ABNORMAL FORMS-09 How s my report ?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your sperm count is normal according to the history but your sperm motility is seems to be affected here.

Semen analysis should be done with three to five days of sexual abstinence period. So repeat your Semen analysis if abstinence is not maintained.

Smoking, anxiety, hormonal problem, vitamin and mineral deficiency, alcohol etc can lead adverse outcome on semen sperm motility.

L carnitine containing Hey Forte like tablet can be prescribed If needed.
