What Does The Following Sonography Report Indicate?
HI Doctor, my age is 51 and i am having heavy bleeding. my sonography report says: UTERUS: uterus is retroverted, bulky and shows heterogenous myometrium suggestive of changes of adenomyosis. endometrial cavity is distended with echogenic blood clots. endometrial thickness measures about 6 mm. no evidence of uterine mass lesion is seen. uterus measures about 9.3*4.8*5.3 cms. normal sonographic appearance of both ovaries. bulky adenomyotic uterus. suggest me what should i do. bleeding doesnt stop until i take medicines.

You have adenomyosis and in such condition, bleeding can only be controlled with medicines as some of it tissue exists elsewhere so it’s better that you take medicines regularly.
