(5 months old female infant) 1st day no fever, today is 2nd day. Fever of 39c. Yellow watery stool. No vomitting. Stool positive for entamoeba histolytica/dispar: troph and cyst Stool pus cell : rare On both breastfeeding and powdered milk. Occasional plain water

the baby's digestive tract is infective with entamoeba histolytica ( a microscopic parasite). that is why there are loose stools. there are very good treatment options available now that get rid of such parasites within few days.
your paediatrician will advice medicine according to weight of the baby.
you also have to make sure that the baby gets enough fluids during the illness so that there is no dehydration.
