What Does The Following Stool Test Result Mean?
Hello doctor, pls guide me regarding stool analysis report of my 5 month old daughter which says-mucus present(++),pus cells - field full/HPF,epithelial cells- 3-5/HPF,fat globules present(++),starch granules present(+),remarks BACTERIA PRESENT(+++) all the other parameters are nil.what could be cooncluded from the report.she is suffering from prolonged diarreah

Findings suggests intestinal infection.Infection is indicated by presence of excess pus cells and excessive number of bacteria.
Culture of stool should be done for prescribing proper antibiotics.
Baby should be given plenty of fluids.
Don't worry,your daughter will be alright after treatment.
