Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Sir, what does it mean by this result? Bulky anteverted and non gravid. The cavity is empty with preserved endometric echo-plate. There s a mixed radiogenic fibroid mass seen subseriously at the posterior segment of the uterus. It measures about 4.8 time 4.3cm
Hello The USG report indicates there is a fibroid mass (generally benign) in your uterus. Its size may cause complications like urinary symptoms, infertility, pregnancy loss or heavy menstrual bleeding. Therefore, visit to gynaecologist is needed. Medical management with drugs like danazol, mifepristone or oral contraceptives will be carried on for 3-6 months. Also considering the size and symptoms your are facing, surgical option like myomectomy considered. Iron supplementation will be needed for prophylaxis against anaemia caused due to heavy menstrual blood loss. Thanks.
