What Does The Following Treadmill Test Report Suggest?

Hi, My dad , 54 yrs old just went through a treadmill test . Below are the results, Good effort tolerance , sub-maximal hr and normal bp response , no angina or arrhythmias, significant st-t changes noted during recovery. IMP: stress test positive for inducible ischaemia. Please help me to understand this report. Thanks Golam

Hello,

I understand your concern. Your stress test results mean that under great effort, strain or exercise, your heart vessels tend to contract or close, leading to starvation of the heart muscle of oxygen.
It basically means that there is a risk of you having a heart attack under higher effort than normal.
Your doctor will be able to give you further information on this condition and on how to prevent more serious problems.
