What Does The Following Ultrasonography Report Suggest?
Hi doctor, My moms ultrasonography of kidney shows Both kidneys are normal in size shape and position. The parenchyma shows increase echo-texture. Corticomedullary differentiation is well maintained. No evidence of calculus or hydronephrosis seen Right kidney measures 9.9x4.1 Left kidney measures 9.2x3.5 No ascitis or lymphadenopathy noted Can you please explain the term parenchyma shows increase echo-texture? And how to treat that
I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your mother.
Increased echo texture means more reflection of the sound waves that are used in the procedure ultrasonography.
In normal terms it means there is more than normal share of blood flowing in kidney. It can be the normal thing but in most of the cases it can also be stenosis of renal artery or vain.
Hope the answer to your query. Write us back in case you want any further assistance needed.
Regards Dr Muzaffer Hussain Parray.
