What Does The Following Ultrasound Report Indicate?
Hey Doctor, Just returned from the emergency room. They said possible miscarriage. Here's the findings results... Images of pelvis are obtained using trans abdominal probes. The uterus measures 9.2 x 4.5 x 5.4. c.m. There is a intrauterine gestational sac. No yolk sac or fetal pole is demonstrated. The right ovary is 2.1 x 2.0 x 1.8 c.m for total volume of 4.1 c.m cubed. Resistive index is 0.84. Left ovary measures 3.4 x 1.7 x 1.8 cm for a total volume of 5.3 cm cubed. There is no free fluid. My reason for the visit to the E.R is lower abdominal pain and brown spotting. Also my HCG levels are 3775.0. Do I still have a chance of having a healthy baby?
1.The report suggest there is evidence of gestational sac - but yolk sac and foetal pole not seen. 2.This can be seen in case of very early pregnancy - the yolk sac and foetal pole might appear in the further weeks. 3.Usually after 2 weeks its recommended to get a followup scan for the foetal viability. 4.If its not appears after the 6-7 weeks of gestation then its a kind of missed abortion. 5.Rest all parameters are within limits and suggests there is pregnancy - so wait for two weeks and get it done.
Good luck. Hope i have answered your query, any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask. http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-ganesh/62888
