Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does The Following Ultrasound Report Indicate?
ultrasound detected a 15mm hemangioma lesion in my gallbladder as well as numerous small gallstones. my doctor says this is a small and benign tumour so nothing to worry about - but I am concerned, she says no further action is required but what do you think?
Small hemangiomas are nothing much to worry about. they are usually incidental findings on scans. Hemangiomas are an aggregation of capillaries. I think you don't need to worry.
Small numerous gall stones show that you need to watch for your diet. A lipid profile would hint if triglyceride levels are high then you would have to take medication or do diet control to maintain lipid levels.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Riyanka Chail, General & Family Physician
