General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

This scan has been procured to rule out any congenital abnormality of the growing fetus. It is usually done between 14 to 18 weeks of gestation.
You would be happy to know that your fetus is growing normally and does not have Down's syndrome or a neural tube defect.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
