What Does The Following Ultrasound Report Suggest?

I had an ultrasound test and I was told I am 6 weeks pregnant. The result said there was no cardial activity seen, single gestational sac seen, bulky uterus, adnexia & the ovaries are within normal limits, fetal pole seen & no fluid seen in the POD. How good is this result?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
The ultra sound report says that there is a single pregnancy seen in the form of gestational sac and fetal pole. The other findings of uterus, ovaries and adjacent structures are normal.
There is no cardiac activity detectable at this stage. Usually it starts by 6.5 weeks of gestation and increases. If you get scanning done during 9th week, it should have gained cardiac activity with 137 to 144 beats per minute. This would confirm the pregnancy is viable.
Hence, wait for another 2 to 3 weeks and get scan done to know about its status. Till then relax and have healthy diet. Keep yourself well hydrated.
Wish you all the best.
