What Does The Following Ultrasound Report Suggest?
Good sir, have been trying to get pregnant since january and have been having reoccurence discharge, which made me go for a scan and vaginal swab . These are the result . For scan it shows l have ovarian cyst and fluid collection in my pouch of doughlas other things appear normal. And for the vaginal swab pus cell is o-1 hpf, epithelia cell ++, trichomonas Nil, yeast cells Nil,so please what is still delaying me in getting pregnant cos have had a baby boy before but l loss him
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Vaginal swab report does not suggest bacterial or yeast infection and is normal. However, with history of recurrence discharge could be caused due to the presence of pelvic inflammatory disease as one of the finding in scan is suggestive of fluid collection in pouch of Douglas. It would be advisable for you to take a course of appropriate antibiotics. Also you need to undergo hysterosalpingogram (HSG) investigation and semen analysis of your partner. Kindly consult Gynecologist or Infertility specialist for complete evaluation and appropriate management. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
