What Does The Following Ultrasound Result Indicate?
am hoping you can help me understand my ultrasound results it says the right thyroid lobe measures 4.4 x 1.6 x 1.4 cm it shows uniform echogenicity. No cysts or solid masses are seen. the left thyroid lobe measures 2.2 x 1.1x 1.cm. It shows uniform echogenicity. No cysts or solid masses are seen. The isthmus is 1.7 mm and normal. my doctor told me he detected nodules. I am not sure what to gather from this exam,.

I can understand your concern.
The ultrasound report you have shared is completely normal. You need not worry .
Even if ther are nodules present which is not mengioted in the report ,ypu need not worry. This can be seen in normal individuals also. But to be 100% certain i would suggest a biopsy of the nodules if present to rule out malignancy.
