What Does The Following Ultrasound Scan Report Indicate?

Hi Good day! Im Teresa, Im 23 years old. I want to know the results of my ultrasound can u please help me? It says a normal sized anteverted uterus w/ no myometrial lesions. The endometrium is thin and hypoechoic. Both ovaries are normal in size w/ multiple small subcapsular ( 12) follicles, less than 1 cm in diameter, suggestive of polycystic ovaries. No fluid in the cul-de-sac. what does it means? I want to get pregnant.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The ultrasounds main finding is polycystic ovaries.

Polycystic ovarian syndrome is a condition which is diagnosed when 2 or more of the following is present: (1)polycystic ovaries on ultrasound

(2) delayed or irregular periods

(3)evidence of increased levels of testosterone in the body. This is normally found in small quantities. May have abnormal hair growth, acne

This condition is associated with difficulty conceiving but there is treatment that can help if this occurs.

Weight loss of any excess weight improves chances of conception.
I hope this helps
