What Does The Following Urinalysis Report Indicate?
Hi i got my urinalysis report. Can you help me know what this mean? Color: Yellow Transparency: Sl. Turbid Specificity Gravity: 1.030 Reaction: Acidic Sugar: Negative Protein: Negative RBC: 0-2/HPF WBC: 0-2/HPF Bacteria: Few Mucus Thread: Many Epithelial cells: Few Crystals A.Urates: Few Thanks.
Findings may suggests urinary tract infection(UTI). UTI is indicated by slightly turbid appearance of urine and presence of occasional RBC,WBC and few bacteria in urine. Epithelial cells and few urates are normally found in urine.
You need clinical correlation and investigations like routine hemogram, renal function test,Urine culture and sensitivity and Ultrasound of abdomen.
Nitrite test and Leukocyte esterase test can be done for confirmation of UTI. Proper antibiotics should be prescribed after culture and sensitivity report. You should drink plenty of fluids.
