Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does The Following Urinalysis Result Indicate?
Please explain my urinalysis results.can the doctor issue me fit to work certificate? Color- straw Transparency- slightly hazy Reaction- 5.0 acidic Sp gravity- 1,020 Albumin, globulin -negative Rbc 0-2 pus cells- 4-8(1+) amorphous urates - few Squamous epithelial cells -many Rouna epithelial cells-few Bacteria - few
The following things can be concluded based on the urine analysis report you have furnished.
1. Colour is normal.
2. Transparency should be clear, but is hazy.
3. Reaction should be acidic and is normal.
4. Specific gravity is within the reference range.
5. Albumin and globulin is negative & is normal.
Microscopy is indicating Pus cells, few squamous cells, few bacteria and few epithelial cells, which is indicative of urinary tract infection. In case you are symptomatic, then you need a urine culture and sensitivity to be done and treated with a course of appropriate antibiotics.
For underlying conditions like urinary tract infection, fit to work certificate can be issued as it needs to be treated with appropriate antibiotics.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S,
