What Does The Following Urine Analysis Report Indicate?
I am waiting on a call back from my interne on a urinalysis done. My Luekocytes at 1+, Protein 1+, Blood 2+, urobilinogen 2.0, WBC - tntc, RBC - tntc, Epithelial cells - moderate, bacteria - many. What does all of this indicate besides the probably bladder infection I called and reported and asked for a UA so I can have meds.
The urine routine report suggests presence of leucocytes or pus cells. Presence of pus cells indicates presence of bacterial infection. An urine culture should be done to look for infection and drug sensitivity.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
