Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My mother in law is 65 years old.she has fever and her body is paining ,she also has a sore throat.she has taken panadol as first aid. Today she got her general pathology report and under microscopic examination it says Pus in urine is 2-3HPF, RBC in urine is 30-35HPF, Epithelial cells 2-3HPF Is it anything to worry??
I have gone through your mother in law's urine report and the findings are pointing towards UTI ( urinary Tract infection). If I were her treating physician I would like to run a urine culture to find out the right antibiotic for this infection. I would suggest she consults her local physician for detailed clinical evaluation and further management accordingly. Meanwhile use syrup citra alka and maintain a good hydration level.
Please contact ER immediately if the fever doesnt settle or there is severe pain associated with urination or there is bleeding along with urination.
I hope this answers your question. Please feel free to contact HCM again if you have any concerns. Wishing her good health.
