Hello,
This is Dr. Klarida Papaqako answering your question.
Thank you for posting your query to HCM.
Congratulation on your
pregnancy. Hope all is going well with it. From what I see in your urine test result, the plenty
Epithelial cells are a sign that the specimen has not been taken as it should. Is is contaminated from the vulvae cells, where in general pus cells are normal. If you would have has positive nitrites, I would say you have infection. But in the case of contamination, and negative nitrites, you should not worry much about UTI.
Though, I'm little worried about
proteins, and the blood present in there. You don't tell me about their level, but if it was a small amount, is not a problem. An amount over 3mg% may be a sign that tell you to check your Blood pressure. It is very important to be lower then 120/80 in pregnancy.
Anyway, I would not say its a bad result, because we can't tell anything for sure in a contaminated specimen.
I would recommend to repeat it, take the middle part of the urine (not the first nor the last part), after cleaning well yourself. Meanwhile, drink plenty of fluids and again, very important: measure your blood pressure.
Hope this helps.
Let me know if you have any other question.
Take care.
