What Does The Following Urine Test Results Indicate?
Hi I am 31 yr old female. I had urine test and the result showed WBC=6-8, RBC=0-1, Epithelial Cells 8-10, Bacteria= Moderate, Appearance= semi turbid and pH=5. Other results analysis are normal. ( In my blood est neutrophil is low and lymphocyte is high) I read some questions and yet I am not sure whether should I be worry. My problem is going to toilet too many times a day and it doesn t much with what I drink and I feel pain in my Kindney. Thank you so much
Dear friend..I have gone through your question.. From the given urine routine examination what I could makeout is that you have a underlying urinary tract infection.. The presence of WBC more than 5 and the semiturbid appearance point towards this. As you have mentioned you have increased frequency of toilet visits is also matching your urine report pointing towards a urinary infection. So my advice is You have to do a urine culture and sensitivity to find out the organism causing infection and appropriate antibiotic. After you give your urine for culture , a physician consultation should be done and empirical antibiotic therapy should be started immediately. Once the urine culture and sensitivity report is available sensitive antibiotic should be started as per report. Keep good hygiene and drink plenty of water. Thank you.
