What Does The Gastroscopy Report Indicate?

what exactly is lax lower oesophageal sphincter, poor motility in laymans terms i hsve had a gastroscopy today and this is the report liangauge which i do not understand at all. I was sedated so i didnt really understand or remember what was being said ti me.

I have read the query carefully.Normally there is a sphincter composed of smooth muscles at lower end of esophagus(i.e.food pipe) whose contraction prevents reflux of gastric acid and gastric contents back from stomach to esophagus.Now,if the tone of this sphincter is lost there will be reflux of gastric contents into esophagus called acid reflux disease.

Motility in oesophagus due to presence of cilia which is essential in propulsion of food downwards.Poor motility may lead to inability for passage of food and thus difficulty in swallowing,chest pain.The motility disorders are achalasia cardia,diffuse esophageal spasm,etc.

This explanation is as per the medical terms used by you but you need to confirm what exactly were the endoscopic findings.
