What Does The Heart Rate Of 85 And 124(resting) Suggest At 31 Week Of Pregnancy?

I am 31 weeks pregnant and have had a temperature between 99.5 and 100.4 for 6 weeks. I am also have a heart rate between 85 and 124 (resting). I am scheduled to have tests for thyroid hormone levels on Monday. I was told to call the hotline if I could not control my temperature with tylenol or it went up to above 101.5. They did not mention changes in heart rate. At what point would it be a good idea to go to the ER?

Hello,
Change in the heart rate is likely to be associated with the change in the temperature in your case. As the temperature rises during a fever, so is the heart rate. Since you have had the fever for six weeks, you must get it properly diagnosed and treated. Also, it should be noted that the general body temperature may be raised by about half-a-degree during pregnancy, especially during the mid-trimester due to the increased basal metabolic rate. I would ask you to go to the ER now to get further management. Take care.
