What Does The Impression Left Upper Lung PTB On X-ray Indicate?
Helloo just want to ask my X-ray result last 2012 it says left upper lung nodular and haze opacity noted..what this mean why they say on the impression LEFT UPPER LUNG PTB...but I under go sputum microscopy..it says negative...so I don t take any medication because they say I cannot ask medical help I mean medicine from the government because its negative..
Thanks for your question on HCM. I can understand your situation and problem. In my opinion you should consult pulmonologist and get done 1. CT thorax 2. Bronchoscopy and BAL analysis for tuberculosis. If both are negative than no need to worry much for active tuberculosis and no need for medicines. Any lung insult either pneumonia of tuberculosis or trauma , after treatment heals by either of the following 1. Fibrosis 2. Calcification And these gives opacity on chest x ray. So your current opacities can be due to past illness. If CT and bronchoscopy are negative than no treatment is required. So better to consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
