Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does The Painful Ball-like Lump In The Throat Indicate?
I have pain that feels like a ball in the back of my throat. I ve had acid reflux for so long, that I have to be careful swollowing my food. It is a lot better, but the same place ( where that little tad pole looking thing is) it gets painful sometimes. There are times the pain comes up from my throat, the pain goes throught my right jaw, then my ear.
So you are suffering from viral infection of the throat which is also known as pharyngitis. I will advise you to drink warm water and gargle 5 times a day. You will be alright in 2 to 3 days.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Loveleen Sharma, General & Family Physician
