What Does The Pelvic CT Scan Report Indicate?

I got below results on taking CT scan, can any one please explain the situation and precaution to be taken. Thanks in Advance. 1. Micro calculus seen in the mid pole calyx. 2. Left pelvic calyceal system and ureter appear dilated. 3. Calculus measuring 3.5 mm seen at left VUJ.

Hello.

You dont need to worry about the micro calculus seen in the midpole calyx.....because such tiny stones tend to pass with the urine without causing obstruction at any level.
As for the rest of your CT report.....it indicates that there is a stone causing obstruction at the left side at the vesico-ureteric junction due to which there is dilation of the whole Pelvi calyceal system of the left kidney prior to the obstruction,
Vesico ureteric junction is the last point where a stone can cause obstruction and if it crosses this point and goes into the bladder then there is a high probability of the stone passing out with urine.

Maintaining good hydration level is vital to increase your chances of stone passing in the urine.

Please contact your local ER in case of severe pain or urinary retention.
