Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi my mother is diabetic patient and we took her for a Abdominopelvic ultrasound scan, she had suffered from kidney problem in the past now we take regular test to ensure everything is fine. This time when we got the reports everything is fine only a small concern was about the LEFT kidney which is 5.7 in bipolar length and .9CM in parenchymal thickness and I would like to know if anything can be done to ensure it doesn t go smaller can you pls advise us about the food what she should consume. Pls note as per the reports the Kidneys are functioning fine.
According to the ultrasound results and especially if she is diabetic she should do the kidney lab tests such as itemized and creatinemia to see the kidney function also. Please discuss with her doctor for the above.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Jolanda Nikolla, Pulmonologist
