What Does The Presence Of Diastolic Notch Mean?

my wife 21 is now 21weeks pregnant and ultrasound report says.. fetal wt - 493gms, fetal heart rate - 152bpm, right artery doppler - normal doppler waveform. PI - 0.7, diastolic notch absent. Left - diastolic notch present PI - 2.1, Can you explain left notch present

The presence of any unilateral or bilateral uterine artery diastolic notch at the second half of pregnancy is an important diagnostic test for (intrauterine growth restriction) IUGR when IUGR is suspected. It is important to follow up with regular ultrasound scans to rule out any suspicion of growth restriction.
