Trans-vaginal ultrasound showed antverted adenomyotic uterus. I've just lost my baby (6weeks pregnancy). I got transvaginal ultrasound done. I am mentioning a part of it. Antverted adenomyotic uterus with thickened endometrium 18mm. What does it mean, do I need surgery?
According to reports you are suffering from adenomyosis. Adenomyosis is a condition in which the inner lining of the uterus(endometrium) breaks through the muscle wall of the uterus ( myometrium). Adenomyosis is a common condition among middle-aged women. You need clinical correlation. Its treatment options are conservative or surgical depending upon various factors. You should consult your doctor. You also have thickened endometrium. You require FNAC/Biopsy of endometrium. Proper treatment depend upon clinical findings an investigation reports. Hope i have answered your query.
