Hi Doctor, I am Zaman from Bangladesh, I am 23 years old. About 8 years ago i had a operation for varicocele vain. Last year, my doctor suggested me to take a semen test for checking my sperm quality. My report is given below. Physical examination: Volume: 2.0 ml Colour : Whitish Appearance: Turbid Reaction: Alkaline Microscopic examination: Total count: 40 million/ml Motility: 50% motile Clumping: present(+) Morphology: 50% normal Germ Cell: Present (+) Comment : Oligozoospermia with impaired motility Can you please tell me what is the main problem and is it means infertility any more. Thanks.
hi Samantha your semen analysis report appears normal . normally to have baby as per WHO criteria sperm count should be 20million and 20% motility no need to worry. but count may deteriorate further if their is varicocele again. please try for baby now if you are married or you can freeze semen sample in order to prevent further complications.
