What Does The Stool Analysis Of My 4-year-old Daughter Indicate?

my daughter is 4 years old had loose stool 2 days ago. She had 3 loose bowel movements in large amount showing undigested food & something looking like mucus & bad adour. she had fever one day before this. Now she s fine but no bowel movements since then. The stool analysis showed undigested food & pus cells 4-5 & RBCs 1-2. so what does this mean please & she will be having EEG tonight inshallah, will these pus cells make a problem? thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms of your daughter seem to be related to a gastrointestinal infection. I suggest to use an antibiotic such as Nitromidazole for a week which is taken on prescription. I also suggest to give her daily probiotics and a plain diet.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
